CPNO promotes getting to know your neighbors through social events. To that end, residents may apply for a $250 grant to be used toward a block party. Block parties must be open to everyone on your street (ie, not a private party) and communicated via print or email. The reimbursement can go toward anything related to your block party EXCEPT alcohol.
Here's how to participate in the program:
- First, contact the CPNO Board via email to indicate you’d like to host a block party and for which street(s).
- Provide a copy of the invitation (flyers or emails are fine) for the CPNO Board that shows the party is inclusive of at least one full block or several blocks.
- Attend a regularly scheduled CPNO general meeting (the 3rd Monday of every month) to announce your block party. (Note: the block party may be limited to one street or a few streets – the announcement is for information only.)
- Provide receipts for reimbursement. Receipt must be received within 30 days of the event.
- Provide photos and a brief description after the party so we can share it with others through the Messenger.
Any questions, please contact the CPNO Membership Chair.
