Candler Park Golf Course Named a 'Place in Peril'

Candler Park Golf Course and the clubhouse have had the honor of being placed on the Georgia Trust 2013 list of "Places in Peril". See the recent Creative Loafing article here.

What does this mean? Their strategy is to work with neighbors and partners to encourage the continued use of this significant historic resource. Partnering with the City of Atlanta and interested parties, we will work with the Georgia Trust to develop a long range plan for the golf course and clubhouse that considers both its preservation and economic viability.

Friends of Candler Park Golf Course is excited to have the opportunity to work with the Georgia Trust in the upcoming year to preserve the land and the building that have been landmarks for the neighborhood for over 84 years!
