Hi all, one last reminder about the festivities tomorrow evening -- pre-movie activies at 6:30 pm, movie starts at dusk.
And don't forget, kids should come donned in 50s attire in honor of the movie's era. Best costume wins a prize!

Candler Park Movie Night on September 8
The people of Candler Park have spoken! The polls are closed and the winner of the September 8 viewer’s choice movie is Back To The Future! Some of you may be thinking, who has not seen this movie? But have you seen Back to the Future’s digitally re-mastered High Definition twenty-fifth anniversary version on BluRay on a three story screen under the stars in Candler Park’s natural amphitheater? I don’t think so.
Before the movie starts on September 8, there will be awesome pre-movie activities starting at 6:30 pm, put on by our friends at the Mary Lin PTA! They’ll be helping us get in the groove of the movie’s era withswingin’ 50s music, a hula hoop contest, limbo, a “Back”wards (get it?) running contest, and a bunch of great prizes. Kids – wear your poodle skirt, rockabilly clothes, bowling shirts or whateversignals “I’m back from the 50s” – best outfit wins a prize!
So this Saturday, come down to Candler Park in front of the pool house to have dinner, and see a great movie with your neighbors. This is all in addition to the usual musickids dancing mania that typically starts off movie night in Candler Park.
Candler Park Movie Night festivities start at 6:30 pm and the feature presentation will go on around 8:00 (sunset) in front of the poolhouse. You will want to get there early for the best spot!
Once again, well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome. Bring your own coolers but be aware that GLASS containers or bottles are strictlyforbidden in city parks.
Thanks to Park Pride/Friends of Candler Park / Epworth Methodist / Clifton House. Thanks to our sponsors BOND credit union, Front PageNews, Corner Tavern, Tijuana Garage, Candler Park Market, The Albert, CornerTavern and our Presenting sponsor the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization, without whom movie night would not be possible.
Candler Park Movie Nights are FREE and take place in Candler Park at dusk. Movie night is produced by Friends of Candler Park and funded by CPNO. 2013 schedule:
