Here is an article about Candler Park Neighborhood Organization's history, written in May 1987, and published in the BOND Community Star Newspaper. BOND was short for Bass Organization for Neighborhood Development and it included Candler Park and several other intown neighborhoods. In other words, it was CPNO before we had CPNO.
CPNO came into existence in 1971.
