Evidently it's not safe to hang out at your neighborhood bar these days. I find this upsetting.
Employees, patrons of Inman Park pub robbed at gunpoint
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta police are searching for two men who robbed a half-dozen customers and a bartender at the North Highland Pub in Inman Park.
The armed robbery happened about 11:30 p.m. Monday at the bar in the 400 block of North Highland Avenue.
The gunmen took cash, cell phones and a laptop.
According to the police incident report, both men had dark complexions and were wearing all dark clothing. One of the suspects was around 30 years old, with a thin build and was wearing "a dew rag along with a winter-like cap that had floppy sides to cover his ears, and was armed with a silver and black handgun," the report stated.
The second suspect was possibly in his late 20s, short, with a thin build and had a goatee. That man was not armed, according to the report.
"The victims stated that the two men entered the business and immediately pointed the firearm at everyone, and ordered them to put their valuables on the bar and to not try anything stupid," the report stated.
"The money that was taken was about $300 from the cash register — they actually took the whole drawer from the register — and about $100 from the patrons," Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III told Channel 2.
The gunmen fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported.
According to the police report, the bar had surveillance cameras, but they were not working.
